Phyllostachys aurea

Also known as golden bamboo, is an invasive plant originally from China that grows throughout most of the South. It was introduced as a decorative plant but it easily "gets loose" and becomes difficult to control.

If you know of stands that need removal or control, let us know. Bamboo is used a lot by Southeast Asian craftsmen for all kinds of stuff, from musical instruments to everyday building material. We'd love to come in and harvest your "nuisance".
